Fixing some minor Mac issues

In case your Macbook appears retarded and holds at times, run such fixes to work around th is sue:
 RESTART THE MAC
In case a reload   cures the problem, and the issue is not returning, the troubleshooting is done.
LOOK AT AND SOLVE THE CATALOGS
CHECK THE FILESYSTEM AND SOLVE ALL ERRORS, BY DOING THE NEXT STEPS:
•             Boot your Macbook applying the MacOS Boot Compact Disk
•             Activate drive Utility and choose Repair Disk
If there is no access to the OSX install CD, run a UNIX-based command fsck using Terminal set up for in Single User Mode. That special approach of how to do this varies due to the version of OS X that is installed. Proceed to Support for specific instructions. Drive Utility will do an analysis of existing fixes, and fixes that were implemented. In case disk Utility  is  not able to solve a inconvenience, you have to install some third – party soft, or format your drive prior to starting some other actions. Sure thing - reformatting your disk should be your extreme measure, since it will erase your boot drive. Try a third-party utility before that; In case the software makes no good, do a complete copy  of all your data (including downloaded applications and preferences), before doing a disk formatting.
ANALYZE SPACE ON YOUR SYSTEM DISK
A user must possess minimum 500MB to 1GB of unused space at any moment. Remember that even if you can use larger amount of free space than the amount this when you first Load, auxiliary files can reduce drive capacity swiftly. Therefore, it would be a perfect idea to store at least 3GB of unused space immediately past Booting.
In order to fix the issue send to Recycle Bin unnecessary information as well as applications stored in System disk to clean free   capacity. You can also, strive to create fewer temporary files by installing more RAM or running fewer applications simultaneously. Reloading will for some time remove all swap-files, however they will be created once again.
 MAINTENANCE PERMISSIONS
Run this in drive “utility” under the normal login. Select Load disk and click on the ”first aid” button, and after that click Repair Permissions button. See In case this cures the inconvenience.
CLEAN OS AND USER CACHE FOLDERS
Apply a third party program like “Onyx” or “Cocktail” to thoroughly deep clear all caches, and then reload. Check whether this cures the issue.
TURN OFF ALL USB OR FIREWIRE PERIPHERIES NOT COUNTING MAC’S OPTICAL MOUSE
Reload the Macbook when completed unplugging all additional hardware. If this makes the issue fade away, the reason is probably that you have a bad additional device, broken wire, or unreliable port on your computer. Try to determine which one it is. Pay special attention to Universal ports.
 Dashboard’s  Widget
One of the reasons for issues with Mac effectiveness is that there is too many opened Dashboard Widgets. There are very good in reducing available RAM capacity. Thus you must check that list of already operating Widgets and close the ones which are taking too many resources. The best method to solve that complication is possibly to shut them down one by one till the computer starts working properly.
backup mac software
 Font problems
One more problem which should be addressed in case a Macbook freezes is getting rid of unnecessary fonts. The reason is that average Mac is programmed to keep all the fonts available with no regard to whether these are necessary or not. Remove those font styles you don’t use often and thus enhance the Mac performance.

Something to do when you loose files

Once, there was a time when if documents got deleted and Trash directory was cleaned, the documents were wiped forever with no chance to be returned.
For up to date Macs, as a rule, a variety of data unerase tools are present.
A user will need to have a proper backup application in place to escape this.

Apart from the tools that Mac delievers, many additional tools that can be selected that can offer similar services can also be found.
This short article covers a look at information recovery as a whole and also offers some handy advise.

When the OS erases a file, what the system really does is label the storage on your hard drive that your file takes as free space.
The file is still where it was, yet the system is now perfectly capable to write new files over of it, after such thing the file recovery process is a lot more

harder.
It requires that you must do as little computing as you can before you find the file you have been looking for, because every time you download a new file, or

each time the computer saves something to your disk, your possibility of saving the information lowers.

If you don't use any information recovery applications already, you probably need to get a good one.
Give the liested below a try:
•    Data Rescue II offers a neet visual interface which will aid you with the data recovery procedure
•    photorec.png: this utility can be used via terminal or command prompt. Utilize this free-of-charge, cross-platform command-line tool to unerase images,

as well as almost any other files from your removable storage devices or disks.

After having got the app that you wish to utilize to unerase the wiped document, you have to start scanning your hard drive for the erased file or files.
This procedure may vary and can depend on the tool you got, but one is alike for majority of them: Just direct the utility at the disk or place that held the

missing information and start the search.
After your search is complete, you are going to get a huge list of various file names.
Generally most of files on the list are nothing more than system junk that the operating system has created in the course of basic operation, and you don't have

to think about them.
You are just searching for the data type and name that matches what you lost.
When you discover the information you were searching for, save it to a different drive.

This section names a couple of of different tools that can be used if you by accident erase files.
Mac Recovery: To restore the data that has been lost after disk formatting, use a previous backup or use a Mac File Recovery app.

Just open the tool and travel back to the spot where you want to open your file; then select Restore, and it will conveniently be placed in its original

directory like before being wiped.
